The Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) is a free, 12-week online course that teaches parents to identify community challenges and work toward solutions by understanding local and state governments and the public education system. PLTI students learn leadership, communication and public speaking skills. To bring positive changes to schools and communities, they develop a project that benefits other children and families. The course offers five, free elective college credits for those who graduate.
We offer12 clock hours for K-12 educators and 15 in service (STARS) hours to those who work within Early Childhood Education.
The Children’s Leadership Training Institute (CLTI) is a free, reading-based school and civic leadership course offered only to the children of parents enrolled in the PLTI. Children 6-12 years old learn public speaking skills and receive age-appropriate books to create their home libraries.
