The Dual Language Whatcom Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI)
Registration is open for this unique course that will bring together Spanish and English speaking Whatcom parents and other professionals who work with families to learn together and from each other how to become leaders in their schools and communities. The curriculum will be imparted in both languages and enrolled parents will have the opportunity to register their children (ages 6 to 12) to take the free, reading-based Children’s Leadership Training Institute. This course offers 5, free, elective college credits for students as well as 15 Clock Hours for certificated educators.
The PLTI is a free, 12- week community and civic engagement course offered in partnership with Bellingham Technical College and the Mount Baker Foundation.
The Children's Leadership Training Institute
The Children’s Leadership Training Institute (CLTI) is a free, reading-based school and civic leadership course offered only to the children of parents enrolled in the PLTI. Children ages 6-12 receive age-appropriate books to create their home libraries.

El Instituto de Liderazgo de Niños es solo para los niños de padres inscritos en El Instituto de Liderazgo de Padres. Aplica Ahora!
El Instituto de Liderazgo de Padres de Whatcom de Lenguaje Dual (PLTI)
La inscripción está abierta para este curso único que reunirá a padres de Whatcom de habla hispana e inglesa y otros profesionales que trabajan con familias para aprender juntos y unos de otros, cómo convertirse en líderes en sus escuelas y comunidades. El plan de estudios se impartirá en ambos idiomas y los padres inscritos tendrán la oportunidad de inscribir a sus hijos (de 6 a 12 años) para tomar el Instituto de Liderazgo de Niños basado en la lectura. Este curso ofrece 5 créditos universitarios electivos gratuitos al terminar las clases, así como 15 horas (Clock Hours) para educadores certificados.
El PLTI es un curso gratuito de participación comunitaria y cívica de 12 semanas que se ofrece en asociación con Bellingham Technical College y Mount Baker Foundation.

El Instituto de Líderazgo de Niños (CLTI) es un curso gratuito de liderazgo escolar y comunitario basado en la lectura. El curso es solo para los hijos de padres inscritos en el PLTI. Los niños de 6 a 12 años reciben libros cívicos y de liderazgo apropiados para su edad.
